Do You Have A Dream?

My special
note prior to my English article – Do
You Have A Dream?
Several months ago I prepared some articles in English
and submitted to one of English Newspapers. Do you think I am too much
sending my articles to an English newspaper? No, no, no, don’t judge me like
that. It’s actually one of my ways trying to proof my capability to write in
English, behind my so-so ability to speak in English. And that chance had
become a good challenge to start with. By the way, all of you have already known the difference between ability
and capability, haven’t you? The meaning
of capability in here is how far my ability will go along with my skill. That’s
what I thought.
I’ve never written any English article, unless
translation works from Indonesian into English vice versa. So when receiving
this offer, I accepted it eagerly. The
problem is, I didn’t realize that the newspapers will be distributed and
spread out along the Asean countries, at least, so the subject of which should cover any kind of news that would interest the readers, in general. While almost all articles I wrote were in relevant to blogging activity
and aimed to bloggers – resulting my articles, of course, not met with the criteria required for. I
hope one day I will be able to create some articles which will meet with their
requirements.
Yes! We know that bloggers are everywhere, around the World,
but as I have said the subjects didn’t match with the newspaper’s criteria. Lucky me, I have a blog where I am able to share my article with you. You can read and find out how far is my ability to write in English. Perhaps, my spoken English is better than my written one. All of you can also start to write one or more article(s) in Engllish on
your blog. It doesn’t matter you’ll write them down on your Indonesian blog. It’s
not necessary for you to open a special blog in English, but if you do, it would become a best try.
Speaking about my articles, to be honest with you -- I
don’t want to waste my ideas which had
lain here and there on my laptop just like that. I have to pour what
I have had written on my own blog. By doing that you will find out later, that it is not that difficult to write article in
English. Why? Because we have the only important reason – we are all, bloggers,
no matter who you are, what education background you all owned, after learning
English for so many years, we all DO have
the background knowledge of English. Are
you with me? Thank you for your time. Go through the lines up to the end of my writing.
Here you are -- one of my English articles presented to you. Forget about my so-so written English, as far as you can grab the idea. Do not bother about whether my English in terms of grammatically is correct or incorrect. Deal?
Please
note that I have changed the original title previously sent to the newspaper "I Will Never Give Up On My Dreams" into...
DO YOU HAVE A DREAM.
No
doubt about that. Anybody must have a dream! I have my dreams
too. Actually, many dreams that haven’t yet come true, but I will never give up
on grabbing those dreams.
Since I was a child many dreams were still there to be fulfilled. It’s my imagination that one day I would attend to a radio interview, I wanted to have a video shooting experience, which then be recorded into a DVD, become a Resource Person at any event. Those dreams probably would still have been clinging on my brain for the rest of my life, if I were not joining any community and become a blogger as well.
Finally, as a Blogger with the blessing of
God and appreciation of Mira Sahid, Founder of Kumpulan Emak2
Blogger, my dreams to attend to a radio interview came true in 2012, video
shooting followed by a DVD recording entitled Linimasa#2, 2012 (Internet Sehat) were also implemented
successfully.

I have also a dream to become a Writer -- blogging is the
link towards what I wanna be. Blogging pushed me to write anything on my blog.
By writing on my blog the possibility for writing drill capability is there.
So I should try to be as discipline as I
could be to post anything that will interest people on my blog. It's not only one
topic but various topics will do, as you can see on my blog www.bundayati.com.
I posted various topics -- that’s the
reason why I choose Miscellaneous as my blog title. I will keep it like that until one day I have
an idea whether or not I will pick up a special niche to be written on it. But
so far, let it be.
At the beginning I joined the social media, say, KEB, I
still have no idea whether or not my blog could be monetized until in about October 2014 I was invited by a new group,
namely Fun Blogging, later called as Fun Blogging Community, founders of which
are consisting of three ladies, sharing with us their skills and knowledge. Shinta Ries (Advancing Your Blog Platform) , Haya Aliya Zaki (Writing Great
Content) and Ani Berta (How to
Monetize Your Blog Through Branding).
From Haya Aliya Zaki I learned how to manage the great
content on our blog and many other important issues with regard to writing content in a good and better ways. Since then I realized that the capability of
my writing skill gradually showed some improvements. We can see that any skill
could be learned as long as we have the utmost effort to do it.
I joined Fun Blogging Community in November 2014. I have
learned many things from the Community in terms of how to manage writing blogpost content. A careful attention should be paid before publishing it, that
what Ms. Haya Aliya Zaki said, among
others, special attention on typographical errors, that might be occurred here
and there. I realize that this is a
valuable knowledge to be remembered all the times by any Blogger.
This Community supported me and trusted me to show my
confidence to be a Resource Person in a special event. This is my chance to
make my dream come true. I had been for so long wanna be a Resource Person in
any kind of event, but my dream seems to be suspended high in the air. I have never
thought that it would come into a reality. But blogging has made it for me! Founders of Fun Blogging Community, Haya Aliya Zaki, Shinta Ries and Ani Berta have had given me an honour to become a Resource Person at BlogDetik Community Event -- Gerakan Semangat Ngeblog, held in about end week of December 2014.
Being a Blogger is really something, an open way to grab
what I wanna be is there.. Frankly speaking, for all Bloggers too. So, become a Blogger is awesome, no matter who
you are, an ordinary people, authors, scientists or other functional titles –
you can become a Blogger. Share something on your blog for others. Share your
valuable skill and knowledge on your blog, share anything that you could write for
the purpose of other people’s capability improvements. Other people will
appreciate your efforts. By sharing your skill
and knowledge for the benefit of others, your brilliant thoughts will not be
lessened, your skill will be more and more enriched instead.
What about monetizing my blog? Yes! Several chances have
been given to me by some Communities: Kumpulan Emak2 Blogger, Warung Blogger,
Fun Blogging, Blogger Perempuan Community. I
understand that many efforts are still have to
be done on how I have to manage my blog towards monetizing it in a more professional way.

HapusAfter having so many kind of dreams since I was a child, I just realize that my actual dream is only traveling around the world ;) . And I'm still in progress to fulfill it. Once a year, I always plan going to a country that I've never been before. Slowly but sure, I'll make it happen, by working harder, save more and pray to God. It's still 13 countries I've been to, out of 193 ones according to United Nation computation :D. The journey is stiiiil very long :D . But At the end, it's not about the number of countries, but the journey itself ;)
BalasHapusWow, very awesome experiences then. 13 countries out of 193? Yes, you are right, even though we've only been to one country as long as we got the most pleasant moment, that's the most exciting one. Thank you for being here on my blog, Fanny.
